A catch-all mailbox receives emails sent to inactive email addresses under the same domain name. For example, a message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can receive messages from mates or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at some moment you may start receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be re-sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting

Configuring a catch-all mailbox will be amazingly easy in case you’ve got a cloud website hosting plan with our company. You can enable this feature through our advanced, yet simple-to-use Email Manager tool, which is an essential part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will administer the web hosting account itself. You’ll find all the mailboxes that you’ve set up displayed alphabetically and to the right of each of them there will be a mini "Catch-all" icon, which will quickly inform you whether a certain mailbox gets all the emails pertaining to a certain domain name or not. With one single mouse click on the icon you can activate or deactivate the feature at any time. If there’s enabled email forwarding or in case some other mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a specific domain name, you’ll get a warning from our system. The latter won’t disable/replace anything automatically or without your permission.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The in-house developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel that comes with each and every semi-dedicated server package that we offer will permit you to configure a catch-all e-mailbox without any efforts even if you don’t have much web/email hosting experience. All it takes to do that is to click the catch-all icon, which will be on the right-hand side of each mailbox that you have created with your domain names in the Email Manager section of the Control Panel. Since you can have just one single mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will let you know if you have already set up a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you want to use has email forwarding enabled. If you decide that you do not need the feature anymore, you can deactivate it by clicking once again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager section will also permit you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
